The yard maze!

Funny stories

Ben has a way with words. Here are a few of the funny things he's been saying lately.

bosquitoes - annoying flying pests who bite you.

Stiplick - what I put on my lips as I finish my makeup, usually red in color.

I was spraying perfume one morning and he asked why I did it. I told him I wanted to smell good. He said, "Oh, does your perfume smell like chicken?"

Compiano - this is what he calls my parents' piano. It's like a mixture of piano and computer.

My big boy - he calls his Lego bag and his mailbox this when he fills them full of toys and carries them around the house.

Daddy won't remind - as in, "I can eat Daddy's cookie. He won't remind, Mama!"

When he references anything in the past he calls it "last morning" - we went on a boat last morning, we were at the beach last morning, we saw Santa last morning, etc.

Dimples - what he calls the blisters that showed up on his feet after wearing hand-me-down crocs one day

We had to drive through some bad weather on a trip one evening and he said, "Mama, was that a squall line?" Why yes, Ben, it was.

We mistakenly gave Ben an ice cream cone in the car on a trip one day. He was covered in vanilla, and I didn't have any wipes. We pulled over in a parking lot, and I used a bottle of water to wet some napkins. When I spilled some water on the ground, I laughed and told Ben it was one for my homies. A MONTH later at soccer practice, Ben ran over for a water break. In front of ALL THE OTHER PARENTS, he poured some water out on the ground and said, "There's one for my homies, Mama." The other parents just stared at me while I laughed nervously. I guess they aren't as gangsta as we are.
