Easter Egg Hunts

We took a road trip to NC with Mee and Papa to visit Biltmore House. It was a fun trip, and Ben did a great job. What other 17-month-old could handle a long car trip without fussing and a 2- hour tour through a home with priceless antiques? He is an awesome baby!

Ben is also talking like crazy. He is repeating everything and starting to use phrases and sentences. The other day he pointed to James and said, "That my daddy." It was adorable.

A few pics from this week. Sadly, you will notice that Ben's head has been shaved. This is due to his habit of pulling his hair out! He did it to soothe himself as he was falling asleep or in the car seat. He was starting to create bald spots so we decided to shave it. This was a traumatic experience for Mama but not really for Ben. He had a hard time adjusting for a few days but has gotten used to it. We have tried to replace his hair habit with other comfort objects. So far he is attached to his brown monkey blanket and his panda.

His vocabulary is growing exponentially every week. It's crazy to witness. He repeats everything we say (scary!). I can't even list his new words because there are many new ones every day.

He loves being silly and is now playing pretend games. He loves to put his mittens on and pretend they are puppets. He makes his voice change and everything! It is so cute.

He loves to slide and climb, and his Baby Einstein videos are his new favorite thing. He wants to watch 5 minutes of it after school every day.
