His first report card shows that he has already mastered most of the kindergarten standards that his teacher has measured. He is a good student but not perfect - he ends the day "on green" most days but got a couple of "yellow" days in September for a little horseplay or being chatty. We are okay with that (although he had to serve his punishment of no TV or iPad on those days). He knows we expect better of him. His teacher is awesome and has very high expectations of her students also. She confided that Ben has exercised a lot of patience while she works with students in his class who don't have as much prior knowledge. She said he is so much fun and so kind to the other students that everyone calls him their best friend. That makes my heart happy. Ben is a happy boy who brings so much joy to our lives!
He loves to play checkers at Cracker Barrel! I took him to play after his annual check-up this week. His doctor said he is in perfect health, well ahead of the norm in intellectual development and at the 50th percentile in height and weight.
