We had fun with family this weekend for the 4th. Ben enjoyed the fireworks and festivities. We went to Stone Mountain for the laser show and fireworks. It was soooo crowded, but Ben loved it. He was awesome. He never cried or whined. He never has meltdowns the way some other kids do. He is pretty chill as long as  something interesting is going on. He wore some ear muff things to soften the noise. He was dancing and squealing. It was fun to watch. 

We turned the front yard into a baseball diamond with the lawn mower. We have a tee-ball set for practice. Ben loves it but seems to have a proclivity for soccer more than baseball. He's also enjoying the various redneck water features such as sprinklers and wading pools that we offer him to cool off. 

He's still doing well with his big boy bed. He wakes up on his own in the morning and reads a book or sits on the floor to play with his toys. I dread going back to work next week. We have had a fun summer. I like being a stay-at-home mom! Ben does love his "school", though, and his little friends miss him when he stays home with me. He loves being with people and is a real extrovert. Not like me! I love staying at home, but James and Ben want to be among the crowds.
